MINISTER OF EDUCATION SAYS FAREWELL TO STUDENTS WHO WILL BE SCHOLARSHIPED TO ETHIOPIA.
Hargeisa, February 2025 the Minister of Education, Nurture, and Science of the Republic of Somaliland, Prof. Ismail Duale Yusuf, held a farewell meeting with students who received scholarships to study in Ethiopia. The meeting, which took place at the ministry headquarters, was attended by the Minister of State for the Ministry, Mr. Abdirahman Hussien Hirsi, the Director General, and some of the Ministry’s Department Directors.The Director General of the Ministry, Abdirahman Hussien Hirsi, also spoke, spoke in depth about the importance of the meeting, and gave the students advice on their education and travel abroad. He also thanked the President of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi Cirro, for his efforts to ensure that these students had this educational opportunity.
The Director of the Department of Vocational Training, Aamin Mohamed Ahmed, first welcomed the students to the ministry, urging them to listen to the advice that the ministry leaders will give them and make their journey fruitful.The students and parents, who also spoke there, thanked the government led by President Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi, especially the Ministry of Education, for their tireless work during this process. They promised to work for their country with the knowledge they learnt.
Finally, the Minister of Education, Nurture, and Science, Prof. Ismail Duale Yusuf, who closed the meeting, congratulated the students who won the competitions they entered. He urged them to make the most of the nation's efforts and the emphasis the government has placed on providing them with vocational training. He urged them to return to their country after completing their education.
