Minister of Education Closes GPE Project Review Conference in Berbera.
The Minister of Education, Pedagogy and Science of the Republic of Somaliland, Prof. Ismail Duale Yusuf, closed a two-day conference in Berbera to review the GPE (Global Partnership for Education) project. The conference was attended by the Director General of the Ministry of Education, Abdirahman Hussein Haji, the Sahil Regional Education Commissioner, the Chairman of the National Examinations Office, directors of departments of the ministry, and partner agencies working with the GPE project.During the conference, the focus was on assessing the level of performance of the GPE project and how to improve future plans in order to improve the quality of education in the country. The officials who attended the conference presented reports on the achievements and challenges, agreeing to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the various agencies working on education development.
The Minister urged the participants to continue their efforts to improve education, noting the importance of finding effective plans to achieve national education goals.
The GPE project is an international program that supports developing countries to improve their education systems, especially in the areas of quality, access, and equity of education.
