Minister of Education delegates in Saudi Arabia................................
The Somaliland Minister of Education and Science, Md. Ahmed Mah'ed Diriye (Toorno), together with the Arab Affairs Division of the Ministry of Education, Mr. Ahmed Sharif, held meetings with some universities in Saudi Arabia.The Minister of Education and members of his delegation, who were in Saudi Arabia in the last few days, One of the universities that held meetings was the University of Technology in Saudi Arabia, which the Ministry of Education of Somaliland agreed to open a branch of in Somaliland in March 2020. with the international funding to build the offspring of the university in Hargeisa; however, due to the COVID-19 disaster, that vision could not be realized.
Taking fuel from the previous agreement, the two sides agreed to proceed with the Mandi agreement reached in 2020 in order to implement it.
It was stated in the news of the meeting between the Ministry of Education of Somaliland and the University of Technology in Saudi Arabia that soon a delegation from the University of Technology will come to Somaliland and greatly contribute to the need and development of handicraft skills in Somaliland.
